The cottage is located in a peaceful setting just a short walk from the local village of Hawkhurst where guests can find a range of independent pubs cafes and restaurants selling local produce and antiques. Venture a little further and you ll reach the fantastic Kent and East Sussex coastline lined with sandy beaches and medieval seaside towns. Historic Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter House and Gardens are just a short drive away too. The property opens into the welcoming lounge which has been decorated in a distinctly cottage style with a farmhouse table and chairs comfortable sofa and chair and wooden side tables. Guests can tuck into one of the many books available or play a game next to the woodburner effect gas-fire the perfect way to while away a winter s evening. The farmhouse kitchen is light and airy thanks to a pretty window and stable door and features cream cabinets wooden worktops and colourful splash back tiles. Here you will find an electric oven gas hob fridge/freezer microwave and washing machine. Steep cottage style stairs lead to the master bedroom with super-king-size zip-and-link bed which can be separated to form twin beds and is dressed with soft linen and cosy throws. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. The kitchen stable door opens onto a pretty paved courtyard area which is surrounded by beautiful roses and has a small herb garden for enhancing your meals. A fantastic suntrap this is a peaceful area in which to enjoy a summer BBQ or morning coffee. The gardeners will be in attendance on a Thursday to mow the lawns.
