About Seahouses Holiday Cottage

This homely stone-built property dates back to the 18th Century when it was originally a local village pub known as The Badger . With new owners from March 2019 it has been renovated to a high standard and furnished in a contemporary and quirky style and has become a lovely inviting place for a family or friends holiday close to the beach bustling harbour coastal paths and many of the local attractions in and around Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. It is within close proximity to a number of shops and restaurants and is just a short drive from the many historical and natural treasures that Northumberland offers. Take day trips to the nearby historical Bamburgh Castle or Alnwick Castle the latter doubled for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies. Close by you can take a boat trip from Seahouses harbour across to the Farne islands to see puffins and seals at various times of the year and a wide range of bird life all year round The entrance is through the rear door into the bright utility room with a washing machine. This leads directly into the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob dishwasher fridge/freezer microwave and cafetière. Moving through to the light and airy dining room with its feature fireplace beautiful fresh décor and large dining table with comfortable chairs where you can enjoy your meals in together . Across the hallway you will find the cosy lounge area with a comfortable sofa and two stylish armchairs. Snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove for those relaxing nights in catching up on your favourite film on DVD. There is a TV/DVD a selection of films books and a variety of games to keep the whole family occupied. On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms; the master with a king-size bed two sets of bedside drawers a wardrobe and hairdryer and the twin bedroom with two single beds a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The generous size bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Both bedrooms boast feature fireplaces. Outside guests are offered an allocated off-road parking space for one car. The cottage does not feature a garden or outside space however the main harbour beach and coastal path are just a short walk from the property as are all the village amenities including friendly pubs restaurants and a wide variety of food and gift shops. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin with two single beds. 1 bathroom with shower over bath. Electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and cafetière.
