Cartmel is a unique and picturesque village set on the Cartmel Peninsula and is surrounded by rolling hills that tumble down to the coast with ancient buildings an impressive medieval priory a towering arch and a little river along with Britain s smallest National Hunt race course. There are many great local walks to enjoy. You can discover Hampsfell a magnificent limestone ridge rising up above the village the ancient woodland of Eggerslack Wood or the pretty lake High Dam. Once you have explored the stunning part of the Lake District you can make your way back into Cartmel village and enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries including the renowned L enclume. You can admire the spectacular views from the nearby Helm Crag or venture further and explore famous Lake District attractions including Kendal Windermere Ulverston and the Grizedale Forest. Entering this lovely cottage from the small front garden you step into the hall with smoky grey stone flags and a fine oak staircase. You will find the lounge is relaxing and comfortable with comfy furniture an oak floor TV with Sky Q and a traditional wood burner making this a perfect space to tuck up and relax with a movie or a good read after your day out in the lakes. The kitchen/diner lies off the hall at the rear of the cottage with the stone flag flooring continuing through giving continuity of design. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven with gas hob microwave fridge/freezer coffee cafetiere and dishwasher. The dining area features a fine table set in front of a large wood burner. Going upstairs you will find two stylish and comfortable bedrooms each with TV. You can choose between the king-size which offers charming views over the local fields or the twin at the rear of the cottage. The shower room features a walk-in shower and WC. French doors open out onto the small courtyard with its charming patio garden. Walled on both boundaries there is a stone out-building housing the laundry facilities and storage space for bikes.
