Located next to the stunning Derwent Valley Park this property makes the most of countryside living. The beautiful Derwent Walk which spans for 11 miles is just across the road and offers the chance to spot the red kite birds of prey and a host of other wildlife. Also nearby is the National Trust site of Gibside. Newcastle is just a 20 minute drive away though and a regular bus service passes the cottage giving you the best of both worlds. This charming cottage has been loving decorated with a country theme throughout with exposed bricks and beams; it truly makes the most of its breath-taking location. Step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and put your feet up relaxing on the cosy sofas. One of these is a sofa bed which can be used for up to two additional guests. There s also an electric log-effect stove perfect for a cosy evening in as well as a digital radio with Bluetooth and a selection of books games and DVDs. The kitchen area is fully-equipped with a large range-style electric oven and hob microwave toaster kettle cafetiere fridge with icebox and dishwasher. There s also a breakfast bar. Heading upstairs you ll find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and Juliet balcony which overlooks the grounds. There s also a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with WC. Outside there is a private garden patio for your exclusive use as well as shared use of the extensive grounds. There s also off-road parking outside of the cottage for one car.
