Set in Ireland s lake district overlooking the tranquil waters of Lough Carrib this cottage is perfect for escaping and exploring rural Ireland. Explore County Galway s famous rugged landscape and coastline and discover countless friendly villages including Maam and Clonbur where you can relax in a charming local pub. Climb Mount Gable to enjoy dazzling panoramic views from the summit or delve into centuries of history at nearby Ashford Castle. This area is also a popular place to enjoy boat trips and fishing and with Connemara National Park close by there are countless walks to be enjoyed across its almost 3000 hectares of mountains heathlands and woodlands. Upon arriving at the property you ll enter into a granite-tiled hallway and on the ground floor you ll find the kitchen lounge snug dining room and one bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows make the lounge light and airy while patio doors also open out from here to the garden. Relax on the comfortable furniture in front of the Sky TV/DVD Playstation games console and wood burner (initial supply of logs provided) while also making use of the selection of books board games and DVDs on offer. The snug found on the left of the entrance hall is an additional chill-out space and is perfect for quieter relaxation with leather seating an iPod dock and another warming wood burner. Through the snug you can also reach the kitchen where you can cook up a treat with the Aga and American-style fridge/freezer. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room so you needn t worry about bringing too many clothes. On the other side of the kitchen you ll find the eight-seater dining table making this a great space to socialise before during and after meal times. There is also an additional separate formal dining room with an open fireplace perfect for special occasions. The downstairs bedroom can be reached via either the lounge or the utility room and is extremely comfortable with a double bed TV/DVD seating and an en-suite walk-in shower with WC. Upstairs you will find the property s three other bedrooms: two doubles and a twin bedroom which is ideal for children. The family bathroom also serves these bedrooms and has a luxurious slipper bath with handheld shower separate walk-in shower cubicle with rain shower and WC. Around the property you ll find the lovely garden. Largely laid to lawn the garden also features a patio with its own seating area and fire pit perfect for keeping warm in the evenings. Children are sure to love playing on the tree swing also found in the garden. To the front of the kitchen there is a gravel driveway with off-road parking available for up to three cars.
