Situated in the grounds of a working farm this quaint shepherds hut offers a fantastic position from which to explore some of Yorkshire s finest locations. Located just under ten miles from York it s ideal for a city break to discover the culture and diverse retail available; the medieval architecture is striking and the vibrant streets offer a plethora of shops restaurants and galleries to discover plus multiple attractions such as York s Chocolate Story and York Dungeons. Heading north just a short drive will take you to Malton fondly known as Yorkshire s foodie capital. The market town boasts an abundance of culinary havens stocking everything from gelato pasta and cakes to coffee seafood and meats. Step inside the shepherds hut kick off your shoes and hang up your coat and explore the surprisingly spacious accommodation. The cosy snug area to the left is where you ll find the double bed which has handy shelving units for storage and is an ideal space for just the two of you. Why not take along a laptop and some DVDs to create your very own mini cinema? The large dresser in front of the door has plates cutlery and mugs to use during your stay as well as a BBQ bucket and additional equipment. To the right of the door is a day bed or seating space if you d prefer. It s ideal for relaxing listening to some music on the iPod docking station or catching up on a book and can also be used by a child for a bed if you have a little one joining your adventure. The electric heater in the hut will help keep you warm and toasty on cooler evenings plus there are soft throws provided as an extra little home comfort. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are located in the annexe just 30m across the orchard; the utility space features a fridge microwave sink utensils washing machine and dryer whilst the shower room has a walk-in shower and toilet. The fire pit outside sets the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the tranquillity of a night time gazing up at the clear night sky and the stars and the BBQ bucket is ideal for cooking up a delicious al fresco dinner. There is private parking available. Need to know: 1 double bed, 1 day bed that can be used by a child. Shower room located 30m across the orchard. There is no running water inside the hut, however there is a water jug inside the dresser that can be filled up in the utility room. The owner can provide locally reared organic meat for the BBQ a price list will be available.
