This property enjoys an elevated position in a residential area overlooking Brixham harbour. The town which is situated on the southern side of Torbay is a bustling fishing harbour where fishermen land their daily catch alongside pleasure craft and dive boats. The town s history is a chequered one full of tales of pirates and smugglers and those interested in the town s maritime history can spend an interesting afternoon on board the fantastic replica of the Golden Hind. The town s two main beaches are great places to spend a relaxing day or two particularly thanks to the region s mild microclimate which makes for unusually warm sea temperatures. Guests staying at this property will find ten external steps leading to the pleasant front terrace and on to the front door which opens directly into the spacious open-plan lounge/diner. This is a delightful space with exposed stone feature fireplaces at either end. To one side of the room is the lounge area with its understated style leather sofas hi-fi TV and DVD. On the righthand side of the front door is the dining area with its dining table seating eight and well-stocked bookcase. The kitchen which has access to the property s rear terraces has everything that guests will need to make themselves at home including a double oven hob microwave two fridge/freezers dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Stairs from the kitchen lead to the first-floor accommodation where there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is an elegant double room with a dressing table plentiful wardrobe space and harbour views. There is a further double room this one benefitting from its own TV whilst the third bedroom is a bunk bedroom with a PlayStation games console making it a great space for children or teenagers. The shower room has a double-sized walk-in shower and WC. Outside there is a large terraced area to the front of the property with a table and chairs which has a private feel to it thanks to its elevated position above the road and the whitewashed walls. To the rear of the property there are two more terraces: the first with harbour views sun loungers and table and chairs; and a large decked terrace which is situated in a secluded spot and furnished with an array of sofas and armchairs. All three of the spaces make fantastic places to enjoy alfresco meals and drinks on warmer evenings or a quiet coffee in the mornings. Need to know: Three bedrooms:. 2 doubles, and 1 bunk bedroom. Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Brixham do not have private parking. However, alternative parking is available in local carparks..
