The picturesque coastal village of Bamburgh is steeped in history with Bamburgh Castle once home to the Kings of Northumbria just a short drive away and the famous Holy Island of Lindisfarne is also easily accessible. You can also visit the fascinating RNLI Grace Darling Museum or St Aidan s Church the site of which dates back over a thousand years and guests to this property can enjoy free entry to Paxton House. Bamburgh is also famous for its glorious three mile sandy beach as well as some wonderful shops tearooms pubs and restaurants. You will find miles of walking and cycling routes or you can visit the pretty village of Lucker or the picturesque bird sanctuary at Budle Bay. Smartly clad in black shiplap boards this property has the look of a Scandinavian summerhouse and is just as cosy and warm inside. On entering this lovely single-level ground-floor holiday home which has been lovingly converted from a former agricultural building you will find yourself in the bright and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished with comfy seating TV and a traditional wood burner set on a reclaimed natural stone hearth the light and airy lounge is a great space to relax and snuggle up in following a fantastic day exploring this fantastic area. You will also find a charming dining area with breakfast-bar style table and chairs and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge and cafetiere. Exploring this property further you will find a cosy double bedroom and there s also a shower room complete with walk-in shower and WC. From both the lounge and the bedroom French doors lead out into the garden which has an enclosed patio area overlooking beautiful countryside with a small bistro table and two chairs a raised flower bed and garden ornaments. There is off-road parking for one car in the shared parking courtyard behind the cottage. During your stay you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of a Northumberland red squirrel from the comfort of the cottage. There is a special feeder outside the property where guests can encourage visits by placing hazelnuts in the special feeders. Sit back relax and enjoy the sightings!
