A short drive takes to you to the principal town of Leek with a bustling market every Wednesday and good variety of shops or in the opposite direction is picturesque Ashbourne with its winding cobbled streets and mix of Tudor and Georgian heritage. There s no doubt that it s the perfect base to explore the area if walking or cycling is your thing then head onto either the Tissington Trial or Manifold Valley. There are bicycle hire places close to both. For a thrill-seeking day Alton Towers is only 15 minute drive away for those looking for a thrill! The stunning manifold valley is on the doorstep and a little further is Thor s cave and Dove Valley. Take the stone steps to the front of the property which leads you into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with vaulted ceiling and magnificent views from the windows.
