This property enjoys a quiet village location between the coast lie overlooking Morecambe Bay and the stunning scenery of the Lake District National Park. Just four miles from the property is the well-loved village of Cartmel somewhat of a destination for foodies thanks to the well-regarded restaurants and excellent independent food shops including a specialist cheese shop and a village store which is famous for its sticky toffee pudding. The village is also home to Cartmel Racecourse: the location for the UK s shortest steeplechase. To the south of the property the town of Grange-over-Sands is a lovely place to spend a day with its famous promenade offering far-reaching views over Morecambe Bay. A trip to Lake Windermere is not to be missed and is within easy reach at just six miles away. A flight of external stone steps leads up to the front door of this quaint property opening directly onto the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In the main space of this dual-aspect room the lounge and dining areas offer comfortable sofa-seating a Smart TV and iPod docking station and is given an attractive rustic feel thanks to the rough-rendered walls wood burner and exposed beams as well as the sound of the trickling waterfall that once powered the mill. The kitchen area meanwhile is equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The bedroom a restful king-size is located across the hall from the kitchen and offers its own TV. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. There is no garden as such but there is a bench positioned just by the front door of the cottage which makes a pleasant spot to sit with a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. There is private off-road parking available for one car.
