This beautiful cottage for two is ideally situated in the Derwent Valley between Northumberland and Durham in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Offering original features reflecting its 18th-century history it is the perfect place to explore the area by foot or bike with or without the family dog. Just over half an hour s drive to the city of Newcastle with its bustling nightlife and cultural attractions it is also nestled among a variety of pretty villages with welcoming pubs and the Northumbrian Coastline which will leave you with many lasting memories. The property consists of stone flooring throughout giving it a contemporary yet traditional feel. The living and dining room has a cosy wood burning stove comfortable sofa and armchair as well as a TV/DVD and selection of books and games. There is a dining table for two perfect for romantic dinners whisked up in the contemporary kitchen complete with gas hob electric oven microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also a washing machine. A door from the kitchen leads to the pretty patio area a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There is also a shower room downstairs with walk-in shower basin and WC. Stairs lead up to a wonderful Mezzanine bedroom which has a double bed and windows looking out to the countryside below. Outside there is a seating area with table and chairs which looks out onto the paddock home to Bill Ben Loral and Hardy the four resident alpacas.
