There is so much to see and do with the Pennine Way within two miles and the peaks of Kinder Scout and Bleaklow within easy reach. The market town of Glossop with its transport links to Manchester and local towns is also close by. Other attractions further afield include the Blue John Mines Treak Cliff Cavern and Speedwell Cavern a flooded underground cave system that is explored by boat. Well worth a visit is Lyme Park and Hall where Pride and Prejudice was filmed in 1995 and Peveril Castle situated near Castleton built in 1080. Derwent Valley with a picturesque series of dams and reservoirs where the dam busters trained. In the immediate vicinity of Moorfield are the hills valleys and streams that make up The Peak District National Park.
