About Polruan Holiday House
A quirky cottage located in the heart of the village of Polruan. With fantastic views from the 2 balconies overlooking the River Fowey. It s close to the quay where you can enjoy village life to the fullest spend the day crabbing on the quay or take the ferry to Fowey. Polruan has two tidal beaches that are just around the corner. Readymoney Cove in Fowey and Lantic Bay Beach are also worth a visit. With easy access to the South West Coast Path enjoy a day out with no need to take the car. Further afield why not visit The Eden Project Lanhydrock House and Garden The Screech Owl Sanctuary Wildlife Park and Bodmin Jail. Enter the cottage through the private courtyard onto the middle floor where you will find the first of two bedrooms the first is a twin bedroom and adjoining bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. The second bedroom is a spacious en- suite double located on the ground floor access via 5 steps which has the added benefit of river views and access to the small glasses fronted balcony. Completing the ground floor is the open-plan kitchen/diner/ snug area which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher and dining table which comfortably seats four additional chairs to seat six are available in the cottage. There is also a separate utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. From the kitchen/ Snug area there is access to one of the balcony areas. The snug area of the kitchen has a comfy sofa with TV and lovely river views. Proceeding up to the first floor you come to the main living space which has large patio windows which open out onto the balcony area. So you can really make the most of the river views. In the main lounge snuggle up on the sofa in front of the gas fire and watch your favourite film on the TV/DVD. Stepping outside of the lounge you will find the large balcony with garden furniture and fantastic river views making al fresco dining a perfect summer holiday option. On the ground floor accessed from the double bedroom or snug there is a smaller glass fronted balcony. Across the courtyard from the main house there is a summerhouse which offers further accommodation for two guests available at an extra cost. It has a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin (Summer house available on request) . 1 bathroom, 1 en suite shower room. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity and night storage heating included. Bed linen and towels included. Parking is available local car parks about 200 500 yards from the cottage, charges apply. Wi Fi included. Regret no pets. Pub, shops and restaurant all within walking distance. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. . Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. . There are many small winding streets in and around the village which are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village. .
