Set in an elevated position this is one of three handcrafted lodges surrounded by meadowland and offering wonderful views of the hills and rolling countryside. Hawkshead is a pretty village made famous by Beatrix Potter and Wordsworth and is often described as the most picturesque village in the English Lake District. Hawkshead offers easy access to Ambleside and Windermere and the mountains and lakes beyond. The village is in a prime location for walking cycling and sight-seeing for the whole of the National Park. A few steps lead up to the porch and entering into the hallway with plenty of space for coats and muddy boots. There is a large open-plan room with lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has leather sofas to relax after a day s walking there is a TV/DVD/CD for you to enjoy. There is a traditional pine kitchen area with electric oven and hob microwave and dishwasher for you to cook up that special family meal. Moving into the dining area there is a large pine table for family gatherings. This spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is dominated by the lovely view from the French windows across to Claife Heights. There are three bedrooms to the rear of the lodge comprising of a double and two twin rooms all simply furnished with pine furniture. There are two shower rooms with shower and WC. Off the hall there is useful utility room with washing machine. The French doors lead out to the sunny terrace which runs along the front of the lodge. The sunny deck is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy your coffee and plan your days adventures. A gravelled footpath leads from the parking area behind the lodge where guests will find plenty of space for two cars. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 double and 2 twins. 2 shower rooms. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. Utility cupboard with washing machine. Electricity and electric heating included. Parking available for 2 cars. Regret no pets. Shop, pub, and restaurant within walking distance. TV/DVD and Hi Fi in lounge.
