No other village in the county is situated directly on a tidal creek with a harbour boasting an idyllic vista of colourful sailing boats pretty water-side buildings and flocks of wading birds on the marshes. This is the land of holidays from a bygone age where the only sounds you can hear are of water gently lapping against the shore audible from this property due to its close proximity to the creek and terns flying overhead. For those seeking something a little more lively the towns of Wells and Burnham Market are short drives away. Flagstaff East is in the grounds of Flagstaff House which was once the home of Captain Woodget of the Cutty Sark. Enter through the front door into a hallway from where a door on your left leads to a comfortable lounge. Sofas chairs stylish rugs and a wood burner generate an intimate feel to the space which is given a touch of additional elegance by the large bay window with views out onto the creek. A large shaker-style kitchen includes a microwave and dishwasher while the adjacent open-plan diner incorporates a large wooden table where holiday meals can be shared by up to eight guests. On the ground floor you will also find a family bathroom with bath shower over wash basin and WC. A utility room outside the property houses a washing machine tumble dryer and airing cupboard for drying wet clothes. A steep staircase with handrail leads up to the first-floor accommodation comprising of three beautifully furnished bedrooms a king-size with wash basin a twin and a single with sea views. A large garden (shared with an adjacent property) features a sizeable lawn as well as picnic tables. Off-street parking is available for three cars.
