About Harrogate District Holiday Cottage

This property enjoys a quiet rural location just 3 miles north of the historic village of Ripley in North Yorkshire with its Grade I listed 14th century castle. A further 3 miles to the south brings visitors to the much-loved historic town of Harrogate famed for its healing waters this spa town has been attracting visitors seeking relaxation for centuries and nowadays is also home to a fantastic array of shops and eateries including the well-known Bettys Tearooms. Those who enjoy the outdoors life will love the fact that property is located on the edge of the Nidderdale AONB which makes up part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a great spot for enjoying many miles of stunning walks. This former farmhouse stands as the centrepiece for a small collection of holiday cottages and offers a high standard of accommodation throughout. On arrival guests approach the cottage through the front garden and step up two steps before coming to the front door. Once inside a welcoming hallway offers plenty of space to leave shoes and boots before continuing through to the first of two lounge rooms. This spacious room is thoughtfully furnished with three comfortable sofas a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner whilst the second lounge is a slightly more formal room which is a great spot for enjoying pre-dinner drinks in the evenings. The dining room is a wonderful space for enjoying leisurely meals and has a particularly grand feel to it as it has been finished in an impressive baronial style with a large dining table seating ten a feature fireplace and dramatic décor. The kitchen has been designed with keen cooks in mind and offers a Range oven hob fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. This particularly spacious room offers a second place to eat as it boasts a second dining table again comfortable seating ten. A cloakroom with WC can also be found on the ground-floor. Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor where guests will find the propertys four bedrooms. The first of these is an elegant master bedroom suite which is approached along a private corridor where there is a sofa-bed which may be used to accommodate up to two extra guests on request. Continuing on to the main bedroom there is an impressive four-poster bed a Smart TV and a beautifully finished en-suite bathroom with a bath separate shower and WC. The second bedroom meanwhile is a light-filled double room boasts attractive views over the garden and has its own Smart TV as well as an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. Another double room again with a Smart TV looks over the front of the property and is situated next to the propertys main bathroom where there is a free-standing bath separate shower and WC. The fourth and final bedroom has a wonderfully romantic feel to it and has been finished with a collection of antique furnishings including a double canopied half-tester bed and an unusual jockeys weighing chair. This room also offers its own Smart TV and an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. Outside guests can enjoy the pretty courtyard garden which overlooks the large gardens where there is a delightful summerhouse which can be rotated to make the most of the sun. There is ample off-road parking.
