About Polruan Holiday Cottage
Polruan is an ancient fishing village famous for its boat building heritage. Perfectly positioned on the Fowey river estuary which is a thriving centre for fishing seafaring shipbuilding and agriculture. This remoteness gives the area an unspoilt charm with its narrow streets and alleyways where flights of slate steps twist between the houses. There are two village pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrocknear Bodmin. This spacious accommodation is on three levels with two staircases. On the lower floor there is a light and bright kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area is at the end of the room with views over the river and can seat six comfortably. Heading back through there is the lounge with large comfy sofas wood burner TV and DVD. There is also patio doors leading to the patio. On the middle floor here is also a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer this also leads through to the shower room with shower and WC. Also on this level you will find a twin bedroom with stunning river views. From the first floor there two separate staircases to third floors. Up one small stair way there is a further double bedroom with beautiful river views. Heading up the larger of the two staircases you will find the master double bedroom with fabulous views and an en-suite bathroom with hand held shower over bath and WC. Heading outside from the lounge is the patio and small garden the perfect spot to watch the world go by on the river.
