Set off on foot along scenic trails crossing craggy moorlands and wooded valleys. Change pace with a stroll to Pateley Bridge 2 miles away a character packed market town with pretty shops and cafes. A short drive will bring you to remarkable sites such as the Stump Cross Caverns 7 miles away or the limestone ravine of Stean Gorge 8 miles away. Inside the property is charmingly rustic with a topsy-turvy layout that makes the most of the pretty views. Enter via the porch to find the kitchen a cosy nook with heated flagstone floors and wood panelled walls. Chilly days call for giant slabs of homemade cake best enjoyed at the farmhouse table with steaming mugs of tea. Next climb the steep staircase to the spacious lounge which features wooden beams comfortable furniture and a soothing gas-effect fire. From here you ll discover the first bedroom a quirky chamber with double-sized bunk beds to sleep either children or adults. Next to the bedroom is the family bathroom complete with a traditional flushing toilet and a very inviting bath that s perfect for a relaxing soak. The master bedroom is tucked in the eaves of the house; accessed through the lounge via a winding staircase. Outside the front garden is a delight for the senses overlooking a babbling brook. The impressive rear garden is reached by a set of steep steps leading to a wonderfully private area of lawn with panoramic views of the peaceful countryside. It s a magnificent backdrop for balmy summer BBQ s occasionally interrupted by the odd visiting pheasant or partridge. Children please note there are walls with drops around the exterior of the property and a stream at the foot of the garden and children must be supervised at all times. 2 dogs welcome please note the cottage is set within the grounds of a shooting estate beside farms with livestock and therefore dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. 2 miles to village pub and shop. Please note garden steps are quite steep. Take care with reduced head height in the second bedroom. Accessed via narrow bridleway.
