The lodge is surrounded by many small historic villages great for exploring. Close by Brampton Bryan has a fabulous second hand bookshop and café or try the local village of Leintwardine with quaint pubs wild swimming and fish and chips. Over the hill at Presteigne there are farmer s markets judges lodgings and vintage shops. The plethora of incredible dining options from the Stagg at Titley which won Herefordshire s fine dining pub of the year award in 2018 to the endless options available in Ludlow. You ll find so much to do in the lodge but venturing off for days out can include Croft castle Hampton Court Hergest gardens and Stokesay Castle to name but a few. Your retreat to the countryside begins at the start of the sweeping drive where you will gain your first glimpse of the lodge passing through well stocked meadows. Climb the stone steps and leave your boots behind before you step inside to the entrance hall with high ceilings and original tiled floor all complimented by the church pew where you can stop and take a break. To the left the formal lounge with large bay window and open fire creating the perfect space for relaxing with friends to catch up over times gone by and watch your favourite programme on the TV. To the right of the entrance hall is the formal dining hall the large bay window offers views onto the estate along with rustic wooden floors simply adding to its charm. A large dining table and chairs takes centre stage providing seating for up to 18 guests. The kitchen is situated off the hall with a simple finish of contemporary units and vintage furniture the space is well-equipped with electric oven and gas hob fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a snug situated on the first floor the large corner sofa sets the seen whether it be a quiet get away with a good book or watch a movie with friends on the TV there are also a selection of board games for rainy days and the competitive amongst you. So when the day is done climb the stairs where you will find six bedrooms finished with crisp bed linen and vibrant colours. The first is a super-king-size zip-and-link with en-suite bathroom with bath and WC and a super-king-size zip-and-link with en-suite shower room and WC. There is a further super-king-size zip-and-link and a quadruple bedroom with four single beds. There is then a bathroom with bath separate shower and WC. From here a corridor will then give you access to a further super-king-size zip-and-link and a further quadruple with four single beds there is also a spacious bathroom with bath separate shower and WC. Should you prefer a twin bedroom all of the super-king-size zip-and-link beds can be made up as a twin on request. The lodge is situated within acres of grounds of which you are free to roam to the front of the lodge there is an area that s perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery for entertaining there is a truly rustic detached barn with games and projector with screen and comfortable seating where you can create your own cinema experience a great space for celebrations where you can create your own theme. For the little more adventurous why not take a stroll down to the banks of the River Teme. There is also a covered stretch tent to the rear of the lodge providing additional space for entertaining.
