One of the best-loved locations on Norfolk s coast Wells-next-the-Sea is a fantastic place to enjoy a seaside holiday. The attractive Georgian square and the surrounding streets are home to an excellent range of shops as well as numerous places to eat. From the town s harbour hop aboard one of the leisurely boat trips choosing between a harbour town or a trip around the wildlife-rich salt marshes. The beach meanwhile is situated just outside the town 1.5 miles from the cottage and is a fantastic wide stretch of sand which extends around to Holkham Bay at low tide and backed by cool pine trees and prettily coloured beach huts. This property offers the rare opportunity to stay in an authentic fisherman s cottage dating to Tudor times and offering an array of original features alongside contemporary details which ensure that the cottage stays nice and cosy. The lounge is a delightful space in which to relax offering comfortable seating as well as an open fire and TV/DVD. The kitchen and is surrounded by Shaker-style units with an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer coffee machine dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer. The formal dining room is perfect for a celebration meal. An unusual and rather wonderful addition to the house is the Look Out an elegant lounge which is accessed via steep stairs and offers views over the marshes to the sea. The bedrooms of which there are four are situated on the first floor. Two of them are attractive double rooms both offering plenty of storage space and feature fireplaces whilst the remaining two are both restful single rooms one of which features the property s original Tudor fireplace. The bathroom with its bath and WC can be found on the first floor alongside the bedrooms in addition to which there is a shower room on the ground floor and separate WC. Outside the cottage benefits from a tranquil courtyard garden for which there is garden furniture and a BBQ provided as well as a cottage garden to the front of the property. Allocated parking for three cars with additional public parking available on the roadside outside the property.
