Hartland is a flourishing beautiful friendly village that is well worth a visit. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in the North Devon Biosphere Reserve on the westerly coast of North Devon the Hartland Peninsula is peppered with footpaths and beautiful places to walk. The cliff formations at Hartland Point are awe inspiring; look for the hidden lighthouse zig-zag rock formations and legends of the many shipwrecks in the water below Hartland Quay also offers a dramatic coastline with panoramas from Lundy Island to Cornwall as well as a small museum pub and beach wonderful for rock pool rambles. If it s culture history you re after visit Hartland Abbey with its lovingly restored landscapes beautiful walled garden private path to the sea and a cream tea! Browse the shops and a range of olde worlde country pubs. Relax and unwind in the charm of this pretty and spacious cottage which offers guests three separate large areas for relaxing in. From the front door step into the lounge where the furnishings stylish lighting rare artwork and décor make you inquisitive to see more. Walk further to enter an open plan area with cosy wood burner and comfy seating at one end and a well-equipped kitchen/diner at the other (one step down). The kitchen/diner has everything you need to cater for your stay with an electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher fridge/freezer washing machine and tumble dryer. A light and airy staircase leads to the first floor where you will find a delightful master double bedroom with a unique hand-carved door and a further bedroom with built in pretty cupboards and a 4ft small double bed. A large room at the end of the landing offers another space to enjoy with books puzzles exercise equipment and games. A family bathroom with shower-bath and WC is also on this floor. A hidden staircase leads up to the attic room on the second floor with twin beds and distant coastal views. A second WC with hand-basin is located on the ground-floor. Outside the cottage is an enclosed courtyard (neighbours have access through but is rarely used) with seating. There is roadside parking available subject to availability alternatively there is a long stay car park located nearby which is free. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 double 1 small double and 1 twin. 1 bathroom. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Electric and electric panel heaters included. Wi Fi included. 1 dog welcome. Beach 3 miles, shops and pubs within walking distance. Smart TV in lounge.
