Walk up the iconic Gold Hill to the town centre where you will find a choice of shops pubs and cafes ideal for a pit stop following a day s walking or cycling. For those wishing to explore the Saxon roots of the area the town museum and abbey ruins are well worth a visit. Slightly further afield are Longleat house and safari park Stourhead house and gardens Haynes motor museum the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Bath and the Kennet and Avon canal. Tucked within Shaftesbury s historic pump yard step through the wrought iron gate and take a short stroll through the beautiful shared cottage style garden to the private entrance into this Grade II listed property. Once inside you are met with a charming kitchen diner with contemporary units housing all you will need to prepare home cooked meals including a gas hob and electric oven microwave compact fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
