Head south to the world-renowned village of Cartmel which boats a Michelin star restaurant Cartmel priory and also the famous Cartmel racecourse which in itself is a wonderful day out for the family. There are plenty of activities to enjoy locally such as The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Stream Railway for preserved steam railway trips to Lakeside Levens Hall and gardens Beatrix Potter and Lakeland Motor Museum. On entering the property you firstly enter the main hallway with hooks and boots rack perfect after a day walking to hang up the gear. To the right is the spacious kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a great family feast and is equipped with electric oven and hob dishwasher and fridge.
