Overlooking the River l'Isle in the small town of St-Astier, this town house was formally part of the Abbey and is in close proximity to the Church. The property features 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and one twin. There is a bathroom on the first floor with shower and a bathroom with bath and shower and washing machine on the ground floor. The ground floor has a large kitchen with all appliances and a living/dining room. The kitchen opens onto a terrace with views over the river. The house is located just off the main square and is within easy walking distance of the local shops and amenities(Boulangerie 20 secs walk). The house is peaceful despite it's central location and is ideal for relaxing with a good meal and bottle of wine.
The town is within easy reach of PERIGUEUX, BERGERAC, BRANTOME, RIBERAC and a slightly longer drive will take you to SARLAT, ANGOULEME or BORDEAUX.
The Bergerac region is well known for it's wine and visits to the local vineyards are highly reccomended.
This house would ideally suit anyone who really wants to experience the region. The town has a large fresh produce market and the opportunities to sample local delicacies are many.
People who enjoy walking will love the surrounding countryside and there are plenty of mapped out routes.
There is a swimming pool in the town should you require to cool off after your stroll.
There are many other outdoor pursuits to be followed in the region including Kayaking.
For families with young children, the house is equipped with safety gates, high chair, playpen, Avent steam steriliser, change table and mat, TV and DVD player.
There is an enclosed grass courtyard at the front of the property.
