The five hundred year old Hayloft is 1200m above sea level, south facing and stands in about two acres of its own meadowland. The property is bordered by a trout stream and is very quiet; it has its own private access track and there is NO passing traffic. The house boasts stunning mountain views (over 3,600m) in every direction, clear views of glaciers and a magnificent waterfall. In summer there is fantastic walking, rock climbing, paragliding, summer toboggan run, bird watching and of course all the wild flowers you could wish for, you don't even need to use a car! The old towns of Spiez, Thun and Bern are easily accessible. The famous Matterhorn or Jungfraujoch (the top of Europe) are a great day out. What could be better at the end of the day than to return to the welcome of a traditional Swiss farmhouse? The Hayloft is a thoughtful conversion of the original two-storey part of the house that was literally used to store the hay feed for the over-wintering of animals. It has recently been restored using original timber and converted, it is now comfortable accommodation for six persons, split on two levels. It has an external access door and a connecting door to the farmhouse breakfast room. This ensures your privacy. It has a superb view of the Allmenalp waterfall. We supply duvet bedding and towels. A shower room with washbasin, toilet, hair dryer and electric socket, has been integrated into the accommodation. There is a beautiful natural garden area with seating. There is ample parking. This is a non-smoking home, which extends to immediate areas around the house. Internet access is available please bring your own laptop, and there is mobile phone coverage on the property. This price is per person per night for Bed & Breakfast based on a group or family of four sharing. Please check availability prior to bidding. For two people we also have a beautiful twin room available. As this is a family run B & B there are no kitchen facilities available for use by guests. Prices for travel and suggestions for other winter and summer activities can be seen on our website.
