Lee Bay is a quiet unspoilt village with a welcoming village pub which also operates a tearoom from Easter through to October. The bay after which the village is named has a fantastically secluded beach which at low tide offers a lovely sandy area perfect for children to play and build sandcastles. The surrounding area is full of interesting places for days out including Combe Martin Wildlife Park the town of Ilfracombe Exmoor National Park and the expansive beaches at Croyde and Woolacombe. This former-Wesleyan chapel dating back to 1889 has been lovingly maintained and updated to offer stylish accommodation where period features sit alongside modern conveniences. It is one-of-two adjoining properties which can be booked either individually or together to accommodate a total of seven guests. The property is approached via a set of external stone stairs on which guests are asked to exercise caution. At the heart of the property is the stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is dominated by three beautiful stained glass windows which overlook the dining area. A double-sided chimney within which sits a double-sided wood burner separates the dining area from the lounge where comfortable sofas give guests a relaxing space from which to enjoy the TV and DVD or perhaps enjoy one of the selection of board games. The kitchen which is set off to one side is equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher whilst a shared utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Grand wooden staircases at either end of the room lead to the first-floor accommodation where there are three bedrooms. The first of these is a galleried double room situated on its own mezzanine floor whilst the two further bedrooms are double and single respectively. Guests should note that all of the bedrooms have some reduced head-height due to the sloping ceilings. The bathroom offers a bath separate shower and WC. Outside the property benefits from a south-facing patio with garden furniture and a BBQ which gives way to a lawn area and a terraced flower garden which enjoys far reaching views to the sea. There is allocated parking across the road from the property which is shared with the sister property next door. Need to know: 3 bedrooms: 2 doubles and 1 single.
