About Appledore Holiday Cottage

Appledore itself makes a wonderful place for a relaxed holiday with its pretty quay tempting eateries and a range of interesting shops. Take the ferry across the estuary to the nearby village of Instow home to a yacht club and a small attractive beach. The seaside town of Westward Ho! just a short drive from the property offers a splendid two mile wide sandy beach which is popular with families and surfers alike. This property retains many of the attractive original features from its days as a fisherman s cottage which gives the cottage a charming atmosphere however guests should note that the traditional cottage stairs are very steep and as such are not suitable for toddlers. On entering the cottage guests will find the cosy lounge with its brick fireplace housing the warming woodburner as well as a Freeview TV/DVD. Passing under the stairs guests will come to the kitchen/diner where there is a dining table seating four an oven and hob microwave fridge with ice compartment dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms the first of which is a restful double room which benefits from an en-suite shower and enjoys views over the property s garden. The second room is a good sized twin room with a window overlooking the quaint street below. There is a compact shower room with WC. Unusually for Appledore the cottage benefits from an enclosed rear garden which is approached from the property via five external steps. There is garden furniture and a BBQ provided so guests can really relax and enjoy this sunny space. As is typical in the village there is no parking available at the property however there is roadside parking available locally or guests may prefer to use the village s public car parks.
