Although the cottage will feel like it is in a different world a pub (serving food) is just a ten minute walk away with a large selection of shops restaurants and cafes in Bovey Tracey. The forest surrounding the property is a haven for wildlife and offers a range of walks straight from your front door. Tottiford Trenchford and Kennick reservoirs are all within walking distance or a short drive away with National Trust properties nearby. Easy access onto Dartmoor highlights such as Haytor Houndtor and Widdecombe-on-the-Moor. Visit beautiful coastal locations such as Teignmouth Shaldon Torquay and Dartmouth. The cathedral city of Exeter is just a 30 minute drive away or why not take a scenic railway journey there from Newton Abbot train station. This cottage forms part of the main original 19 th century farmhouse offering an open plan lounge diner and new kitchen for 2020 on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a contemporary bathroom upstairs. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds (this room can be offered as a single bedroom on request). The living room area has a wood-burning stove (with a free supply of logs) in addition to central heating throughout the house and spacious walk in shower room. Wi-fi is available and the cottage has a 32-inch Freeview TV and DVD Player. If you choose to stay in and cater for yourselves the kitchen has an electric oven and hob fridge with small freezer compartment and a microwave. Outside at the back of your cottage is a private courtyard with dining furniture accessed by the French doors from the lounge or via the side gate. A further bistro seating area can be found at the front of the property along with large gardens to explore with additional seating areas (with BBQ) right by the stream. The games barn (new for 2019) has bi-fold doors which can be fully opened in good weather and a large wood-burning stove for the cooler evenings. If you bring dogs with you there is a dedicated fenced paddock area they can enjoy. Need to know: 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 with bunk beds (second bedroom can be a single room if requested). Walk in shower room. Outstanding games room offering pool, table tennis, darts and table football with a wood burning stove, sound system and library of books, DVD s and board games.
