Appledore s pretty quayside is lined with charming independent shops galleries restaurants and welcoming pubs. You only have to stroll the pretty streets and along the vibrant quay to get a real sense of village s seafaring and ship building history. The Maritime Museum is well worth a visit with each room depicting a different aspect of life at sea. The area offers plenty for both thrill seekers and those looking for a little peace and quiet. Watch the boats bobbing as you gaze out across the estuary toss a line into the water and catch a few crabs or head to the golden sands at neighbouring Westward Ho! to catch some waves. Step through the front door to be greeted by the cosy lounge with its wooden floors comfy sofas a TV/DVD with Freeview hi-fi and a feature fireplace with a coal effect gas fire. The dining room is accessed via a step before stepping up once again into the kitchen. This offers an electric oven gas hob fridge freezer and dishwasher. Steep stairs lead to the first floor with its double room and pleasant distant estuary views. On this floor there is also a smaller room with a single bed (additional single bed stored underneath plenty of space for a couple or two singles. There is also a further single room and bathroom with shower over bath separate shower WC and heated towel rail. A door from the kitchen leads outside onto a shared cobbled area and a narrow path with steep steps. This leads to an enclosed decked area with garden furniture and a BBQ. There is roadside parking nearby but unloading is possible closer to the property.
