This fine property is set in fabulous gardens overlooking the beautiful Loch Striven. The sublime Cowal Peninsula offers an fantastic highland experience with deep glens waterfalls rivers acres of forest and rolling hills to explore. The estate is set in a tranquil secluded loch-side location and is well placed for day trips to Glasgow Loch Lomond and the Clyde coast. There are extensive walks and mountain bike trails as well as opportunities for fishing clay pigeon shooting stalking hill walking and golf. Dunoon accessed by ferry from Gourock is the main town in the area and offers a museum leisure centre and a fascinating selection of craft shops galleries cafes and restaurants. Formerly owned by a Glasgow shipping family this magnificent property is situated at the end of a sweeping driveway lined with lime trees and conifers. On entering you will find the cosy and bright lounge which is beautifully furnished and complete with open fire TV and Hi-Fi. The splendid dining room truly allows you to dine in style with seating for twenty people. For less formal meals there s also a dining table in the traditional kitchen which is equipped with AGA-style oven double electric oven and hob and fridge. There s a pantry with freezer ice machine and two fridges and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Exploring further you can enjoy a game of billiards in the games room. There is also a ground-floor WC. There are no fewer than five wonderfully furnished bedrooms in the main house. There s a super-king-size room with TV and en-suite bathroom with bath shower and WC a super-king-size room with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath shower and WC a twin room with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC a king-size room and a double room. There are two further bathrooms one with shower over the bath and WC and one with separate shower and WC. You will also find the Annexe which houses three bedrooms. As well as a double and a twin room there s also a double room with additional single bed and Jack and Jill en-suite bathroom complete with shower over bath and WC. There is also an additional bathroom with WC. Leaving the main house you will find the Stable Block a detached building which is a few hundred yards away and visible from the house. The Stable Block offers two bedrooms: on the ground floor a king-size room with en-suite bathroom with bath shower and WC and a double room with en-suite bathroom with bath shower and WC. Stepping out into the extensive grounds you can enjoy the landscaped and lawn garden with outside seating and stunning views overlooking the loch. There is also a unique small public house on the Estate which is a short walk from the house and boasts previous guest signatures and a couple of famous names on the ceiling. This can be open for parties and stocked when booked in advance. There are also opportunities on-site for game and clay pigeon shooting and fishing by prior arrangement with the owner and subject to conditions. Please note the property is on a working estate with stalking in the summer and shooting in the winter.
