This property is situated at the heart of the attractive village of Instow which is found on the estuary of the rivers Torridge and Taw. The estuary beach is a family-friendly stretch of sand backed by sand dunes which make a lovely place for an afternoon walk. In summer a ferry runs across the estuary to the pretty fishing village of Appledore where numerous pleasure craft offer scenic boat trips. The town of Bideford is just four miles down-river from Instow offering a range of shops and eateries and for those who are feeling energetic it is possible to enjoy a riverside walk to Bideford directly from the property. Entering directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor of the property guests will immediately get a sense of the owner s sense of style which has created a calming and restful atmosphere throughout the cottage. The lounge/diner to the front of this space offers two comfortable sofas and an extendable dining table as well as feature fireplace with wood burner-effect electric fire and TV/DVD. Beyond the lounge/diner the kitchen has an oven hob microwave and fridge with ice compartment beyond which a utility room houses the washer/dryer and leads out to the courtyard garden. Open-tread wooden stairs lead to the first-floor accommodation where there are two bedrooms: a spacious double room with a pretty feature fireplace and an attractive single room. The bathroom has a smaller-sized shower-over-bath whilst there is a separate WC on the ground floor. Outside there is a charming narrow courtyard patio to the rear of the property offering a sheltered place to sit with a quiet relaxing drink.
