Set in the Lake District National Park and just 10 minutes from Lake Windermere the location is ideal to explore the central and south lakes. The local Cartmel Priory and medieval village are worth a visit as is Grange over Sands an Edwardian seaside town with two miles of promenade and a wide variety of shops. Other activities to enjoy locally are The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Stream Railway for preserved steam railway trips to Lakeside on Windermere Levens Hall and gardens Beatrix Potter and Lakeland Motor Museum.
