About Westward Ho! Holiday House

This property is located in the traditional Victorian seaside village of Westward Ho! which boasts a two mile expanse of beach popular with swimmers and surfers alike. The beach and the village centre with its shops cafes and pubs is just a gentle fifteen minute walk from the property. Only slightly further afield a five minute drive away is the attractive harbour town of Bideford which has an interesting range of shops and eateries. From here it is possible to take the two hour boat trip across to Lundy Island a haven for wildlife managed by the National Trust. This three mile wide island offers an unrivalled opportunity to get away from it all and experience a tranquillity rarely found on the mainland. This detached property offers contemporary accommodation spread across four floors. Access is via a set of external stairs to the front of the property. There are four bedrooms two of which are on the ground floor: one of these is a double and the other a twin. These bedrooms share a shower room with WC. Taking the stairs to the first floor guests will find the first of two living areas: a spacious lounge/diner with woodburner which benefits from glass sliding doors which give access to the good sized balcony with sea views. There is seating for eight at the dining table and comfortable sofa seating from which to enjoy the TV and DVD. The smart glossy kitchen is also on the first floor which is equipped with an oven and hob fridge microwave and dishwasher. The washing machine and an additional fridge with ice compartment can be found in the ground floor utility room. On the second floor there is a double bedroom which has a Juliet balcony a dressing area and an en-suite shower room with WC. There is also a separate bathroom on this floor which has a shower over bath and WC. The fourth bedroom is on the third floor a lovely twin room which has a sloping ceiling due to it being in the eaves of the house. This room has an adjoining lounge area which makes a great den for children with its TV DVD and Nintendo Wii games console. Outside the first-floor balcony which is accessed from the lounge/diner has seating which allows guests to enjoy the view across the village rooftops and beyond to Bideford Bay. To the rear of the property is an enclosed patio garden with a garden dining table. Off-road parking for two cars is provided whilst any further vehicles will be able to find roadside parking locally.
