Close to the South West Coast Path you are in easy reach of some of the best remnants of the Cornish tin mining industry in the county. Wheal Coates and Wheal Charlotte are found above the popular beach of Chapelporth in St Agnes managed by the National Trust. St Agnes has some fabulous welcoming pubs and some excellent walks. St Agnes Head affords the visitor a fantastic panorama across the ocean and inland as far as Carn Brea and north to Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor on a clear day.
